Lexington, OH — The No. 17 Unitronic JDC-Miller Motorsports Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport endured a difficult outing at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course after sustaining damage in an opening-lap incident during Round 4 of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge season.
After showing encouraging pace throughout the weekend, the team's race took an early setback when contact on the opening lap damaged the car and forced an unscheduled trip to pit lane for repairs. The resulting delays left the No. 17 entry multiple laps down to the GS field, effectively ending any opportunity for a competitive finish in Sunday's O'Reilly Auto Parts 4 Hours of Mid-Ohio.
Despite the adversity, the JDC-Miller Motorsports crew worked quickly to repair the damage and return the Unitronic Porsche to the track, allowing the team to complete the race and gather valuable data for the remainder of the long event.
While the race result fell short of expectations, the team still enjoyed spending time with the highly engaged IMSA fanbase, signing and handing out event-specific posters throughout the weekend and connecting with enthusiasts who continue to support the program. Mid-Ohio also provided a valuable opportunity to spend time alongside ECS Tuning, making for a memorable weekend despite the on-track adversity.
Focus now shifts to Watkins Glen International, where the Unitronic JDC-Miller Motorports team will look to rebound for round 5 of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge season on June 25-27, 2026.
